Connect your watch
Connect your Fitbit and Google Pixel Watch to KeepCourse
Updated 7 October 2026
The short answer: KeepCourse reads workouts and sleep from your phone's health app, where the Fitbit app already sends them. Turn on sharing in the Fitbit app, connect KeepCourse to Health Connect (Android) or install the KeepCourse Shortcut (iPhone), and your Fitbit and Google Pixel Watch is connected.
Models: Pixel Watch, Charge, Sense, Versa, Inspire. Menu names can differ between app versions; the setting you're looking for is "Health Connect" on Android or "Apple Health" on iPhone.
On Android
- Open the Fitbit app and sync your Fitbit and Google Pixel Watch so a recent workout is in the app.
- In the Fitbit app: Settings, Health Connect: allow Exercise and Sleep.
- In KeepCourse: Settings, Connections, Connect your watch, and allow Exercise and Sleep in Health Connect.
- Sync your Fitbit and Google Pixel Watch. The workout appears in KeepCourse within an hour; sleep arrives after your first morning sync.
On iPhone
- Open the Fitbit app and sync your Fitbit and Google Pixel Watch.
- In the Fitbit app: Fitbit doesn't write to Apple Health; use Strava or a bridge app.
- Install the KeepCourse Shortcut from keepcourse.app/connect/iphone, paste your connection token from KeepCourse's Settings, and turn on its two automations (after a workout, and each morning for sleep).
- Allow the Shortcut to read Workouts and Sleep in Health. The next run arrives in KeepCourse within a minute.
What you'll get
- Every workout ticks off an open Move commit for that day by itself, and opens the "How was it?" dialog prefilled with the sport and minutes.
- Last night's bed time, wake time and duration are prefilled in your morning standup; you only rate sleep quality.
- Sessions appear under Training on Today and in Week.
Troubleshooting
- No workouts yet? Check that the Fitbit and Google Pixel Watch has synced to the Fitbit app, and that sharing is switched on in the Fitbit app. On Android, open Health Connect and confirm the Fitbit app is listed under "App permissions".
- Workouts arrive late? Android battery optimisation can delay background sync. Allow KeepCourse and the Fitbit app to run in the background, or open KeepCourse to sync now.
- Duplicates? If two apps send the same activity (for example the Fitbit app and Strava), keep one source connected.
- Still stuck? Email keepcourse@predict.ventures with your phone model and the Fitbit app version.
Small daily commits. Your life on course.
